HISTORY

•   The Albanian Register of shipping was founded as a Classification Directorate by the Albanian Government on 1/7/1970, established in Durres-ALBANIA, with an order of Ministers Council No.:99 date 01 July 1970.

• 1970-1990 the Albanian Register of Shipping with his rules under his class build a lot of fishing vessels and cargo vessels under 3000 GT for the Albanian Government under Albanian Flag in Shipyard of Durres.

•   1998-today the Albanian Register of Shipping becomes an Anonyms Society (SH.A) with 100% Governmental Society.

• 2002 to the statute of the Albanian Register of Shipping attached the implementation of the ISM code by the Ministry of Transport and Telecommunication.

•  2004 Albanian Register of Shipping take the delegation in name of the Maritime Administration of the Republic of Albania to Approve the Security Plans of ships with Albanian Flag and the issue of the international ship security Certificate to train the SCO, CSO and to issue the Continuous Synopsis Record (CSR) as per ISPS Code by the Ministry of Transport and Telecommunication.

• The “Albanian Register of Shipping” SH.A become a Classification Society, Recognized Organization and a Security Recognized Organization for the Albanian Flag .
